Adsorption dryers are used to remove moisture from compressed air and other gases. These dryers work by adsorbing the water vapor onto a desiccant material, typically activated alumina or silica gel, which is then periodically regenerated by applying heat. Adsorption dryers are commonly used in industries that require dry and clean compressed air, such as food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals, and electronics manufacturing. They are also preferred over traditional refrigerated dryers in low-temperature applications, due to their ability to operate effectively at temperatures as low as -40°C.
